Note: Address Cleanser is currently in Beta. System performance, features, and regional coverages are subject to ongoing optimisations.
What it is
Address Cleanser checks and standardises physical address data using multiple geocoding providers, and returns a data-quality recommendation and confidence score, so you can improve address data before submitting a payment.
Standardises addresses into a consistent, structured format
Helps reduce transactions held for manual review or RFIs due to address issues
Flags incomplete or low-quality addresses so they can be corrected before submission
Coverage extends to most countries worldwide.
How it works
In Flash Connect, go to the Compliance menu and open Address Cleanser.
Enter an address in the Address field and select the Country. (Use the "Detailed fields" toggle if you'd rather enter address components separately.)
Click Cleanse address.
The result returns:
a standardised, structured address (street, suburb, state, country)
a recommendation — accept, review, or flag for low data quality
a confidence score for the cleansed address
a message with any additional detail
Your previous checks are listed below the form, with their recommendation and timestamp.
Getting access
Address Cleanser is available to eligible Flash Connect clients subject to a signed TSS variation. To enable it for your account, or to discuss pricing and API access, contact our team.
A monthly free quota applies, shown as a usage counter in the interface (for example, "This month you did 0 of 1000 requests"). Requests beyond the free quota are billable per your pricing schedule, and each result row shows whether it was billable.
Where you can use it
Flash Connect — run checks manually from the Address Cleanser screen
Public API — run the same checks programmatically. See the developer documentation for details
