What's New in Flash Connect - July 2025

Flash Connect has been updated with new features to streamline your workflows, enhance transparency, and improve security. These updates are designed to meet your business needs. Explore the details below.

1. Enhanced workflow: New filtering and navigation

We’ve introduced a set of tools to make transaction management faster and more intuitive:

  • Filter by sub-client
Filter transactions on the Deposits and Withdrawals pages by sub-client to quickly isolate customer-specific data without manual searching.

  • Sharable filtered views with dynamic URLs
On pages with filters (e.g., Deposits, Withdrawals, Payments), the URL now updates to reflect applied filters. Bookmark, copy, or share these links to restore the same view in a new tab, enhancing collaboration.

  • Seamless cross-navigation
Navigate efficiently with new contextual links:

    • From transactions to sub-clients: Click the sub-client ID in an expanded deposit or withdrawal row to access their details page.

    • From sub-clients to Transactions: Expand a sub-clients page record to view links to associated deposits or withdrawals.

These features save time and improve workflow efficiency.

2. Creator and approver are now visible in transactions

To boost auditability, the transaction details view now displays who was involved in each withdrawal:

  • Created by: Visible for all withdrawals, showing the initiator.

  • Approved by: Visible for approved withdrawals, indicating the approver.
This provides a clear audit trail for compliance.

3. Enhanced sender selection for FX payments

The New FX Payment page now offers greater flexibility in designating the ultimate sender, aligning with API subClientId support for partners using a sub-client model:

  • Choose a 'Sender': Select from pre-defined senders.

  • Choose a 'sub-client' (New): Designate a sub-client as the ultimate sender.

  • Choose Yourself (New): Use your company name as the sender.

Note: Only one sender is allowed per transaction. Selecting a sub-client clears any prior sender, and vice versa. This update creates a more intuitive workflow for UI-based tasks.

4. ACL "TRANSACT" enforcement

A new access control feature, live as of July 2025, extends the existing withdrawal workflow to payments and conversions, addressing the requests of some B2B clients:

  • Enforcement for Payments and Conversions: Users must have "TRANSACT" or "ADMIN" ACLs to create payments and currency conversions on Flash Connect. Without these, the function is disabled, aligning permissions with withdrawals (see Access-based workflow for withdrawals).

  • ACL Requirements: "APPROVE" ACL alone does not grant "TRANSACT" permissions. Users need both "TRANSACT" and "APPROVE" ACLs (or "ADMIN" ACL) to place and process transactions, with delayed approval supported for payouts only.

  • Future Update: "APPROVE" ACL will soon be added for payments and conversions.
