What's new?
Organisation admins and Primary account contacts can now reset passwords for their active members in Flash Connect without waiting for a response from the Flash support team.
Where to find it: Go to Flash Connect → Profile → Members, select the relevant member, and use the new Actions dropdown. Choose Reset password to initiate the flow.
How it works:
The reset flow sends a password reset email to the member
A temporary lockout prevents duplicate requests
You can repeat the request if the emailed link has expired
Who can use this: Available to Primary account contact and all organisation members with ADMIN access level.
Why it matters: This gives your admin members direct self-service control over their team's access to the portal reducing dependency on the Flash support for routine credential management.
Disabling a member
Alongside password reset, account administrators can now disable active organisation members directly in Flash Connect (for example, when an individual leaves the company). No need to contact Flash support.
Where to find it: Go to Flash Connect → Profile → Members, select the relevant member, open the Actions dropdown, and choose Disable.
How it works:
A confirmation dialog appears before the action is taken.
Once confirmed, the member's status changes to Profile suspended and they can no longer log in.
A disabled member's details can no longer be edited from Flash Connect, the Edit option is hidden while the profile is suspended.
Important — this action cannot be undone from Flash Connect. To re-enable a member later, contact the Flash support team. We never permanently delete member records. When a profile is suspended, which removes login and access, it can be reactivated upon request, ensuring no data is lost.
Who can use this: Available to all organisation members with ADMIN access level. The Primary contact member cannot be disabled from Flash Connect, and an administrator cannot disable their own account.
Why it matters: Administrators get direct control over their team's access, promptly revoking access when a team member leaves, without waiting on a support request.
